Candidate Profile:
Project Assistant Level – II (non-Ph.D):
M.Sc./BE/B.Tech or equivalent with minimum 55% marks for General Category & 50% marks for SC/ST Category. Throughout first class and proficiency in technical skill will be preferred.
Project Assistant Level – III (non-Ph.D):
M.Sc./BE/B.Tech or equivalent plus two years experience or M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with minimum 55% marks for General Category & 50% marks for SC/ST Category. Throughout first class and proficiency in technical skill will be preferred.
The engagement is purely on a temporary and contract basis under the externally funded sponsored project undertaken by CSIR-NEERI which may be extended or curtailed depending on the status/duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance/conduct of the Project Assistants/Associate. It is a placement under externally funded/ sponsored project and will be co-terminus with the project duration in any case. The engagement shall be an assignment and not an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit on the candidates for regularization/absorption against any post in CSIR-NEERI or under any other scheme of CSIR.

The envelope should be addressed to The Director, NEERI, Nehru Marg, Nagpur – 440 020 duly super scribed as "Application for Project Assistant/Associate". Applications should reach in this office on or before 30 th December, 2011.
All the applications will be scrutinize as per requirement from various Divisions and Zonal Laboratories and names of short listed candidates will published on CSIR-NEERI web site in the last week of January, 2012. Short-listed candidates are required to appear before the Selection Committee for a personal interview and or test in the middle of February, 2012 at NEERI, Nagpur. No TA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.

The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur was established in 1958 as Central Public Health Engineering Research Institute (CPHERI), when environmental concerns were limited to human health with a focus on water supply/sewage disposal/ communicable diseases and to some extent on industrial pollution and occupational diseases.
